Why does it matter what people think about what you are sexually ? as a christian woman my sexual preference is no-ones business and i dont go around telling everyone I am straight ,frankly because it is no ones business . if you like me , it will be because of who I am not because of what I prefer sexually and for whom I choose to love , and anyone who does judge you for that I wouldnt want as a friend and it wouldnt matter to me if they accept me or not . I just think its become way to important for people gay or strait to want others to except them , the real question is are you happy with your self ,and if you are then surround yourself with people who embrace it and forget the rest .

Attend area chamber of comerce events, lectures, etc. Always have business cards. People just chat chat. Extend a handshake introduce yourself. Ask them what they do first, be patient, listen to them, ask them questions, be interested in their business and life, find out if they have a family, Anyone you allow to talk about themselves will gain you a open door and a friend, they will be polite and eventually ask you what you do, then keep it short, Already have a 2-3 sentence response decription, then follow that short explaination with, "Here lets exchange cards and keep in touch". Now you successfully networked, you have a business associate freind, you can call anytime and they will remember you, example, Hey this is Tony I met you at such and such lecture, "Oh Yeah, Hows It Going?" "Great, hows the kids?" "Good" "Hey I need to be brief but have you put any thought into who could use some financial services?(if that is what you do) or "Hey I been thinking of getting into your industry would you have any contacts I could work with?)
