christian dating red flags
Should Answers questions be phrased in a manner that does not single out individuals or even people groups?

I see it all the time.

In the dating section, people start off with “boys” or “girls”.

In the religion section, it’s “Christians” or “Atheists.”

Why not make the question completely neutral. Anytime you single out a group, the question is bound to be hostile. To me it raises a red flag.

Well, that’s sometimes true. But some questions only pertain to certain groups, and singling out the perspective answerers helps to avoid wasting people’s time.

I don’t think I’m qualified to answer questions about PMS remedies, ya know ;-)

I think you should talk to him about your different background issues. No one else can deside for the two of you if you can make it work or not. I think if you sit down and compromise then you probably could. As far as being "the one" it took my husband and I about 45 minutes before we knew, and we were officially engaged 2 weeks after our first date. We've been together for 4 years and are still absolutly crazy for each other.

Your instincts are very sound. As much as you might hate to do this, break it off with your boyfriend as – you guessed correctly – the turmoil is going to be too much of a headache.

Your boyfriend needs to know that this is less about him and more about the anti-Catholic whims from the rest of his family. If he has a beef, he's got to take it up with his family, not you.

This is a sad situation all around. There is ONLY ONE winning move for you and that's to GET AWAY and not be part of that situation.

I stopped reading after 'devout Christian'.

Follow your instincts… and always remember that when you marry someone your *are* marrying into that person's family, and said family will likely not change if there's something you dislike about them.

There are a whole lot of red flags in what you described, not the least of which is the fact that your boyfriend expects you to lie to his parents (which, believe me, never works out… eventually you'll be caught out and have to explain yourself, and that just leads to bigger problems).

One of the handsomest men to ever grace this planet. And his outward beauty was matched by an inward beauty.

He definitely sounds like he is verbally abusive and you really need to question yourself as to whether or not you could put up with that.

A lot of people think that it's always best to stay together for the sake of your kids but sometimes that just isn't so. Kids can sense when their parents are unhappy and it does affect them. You should also keep in mind that if he treats you this way, he may also begin to treat your kids that way.

This situation sounds similiar to my own parents, although they were married for 20 years. Dad was very verbally abusive to mom and eventually to my brother and I as well. By the time we were teenagers we were begging my Mom to divorce him (which she finally did).

You can find love again. My mother is now happily married and she met her husband when she was in her early 40s.

If you really want my opinion, I think you should get out of this relationship now before it gets worse.

George had better Talent than John, Paul .Peroid!!!!!!!!!

If they were replaceable how come the Beatles requested RINGO special? How come when George and Ringo quit the band (at different times) the other Beatles begged, pleaded, and wouldn’t play until they were back. Ringo and George both wrote amazing songs. Lennon and McCartney shoved them away from the spotlight as much as they could.

Does anyone else prefer the demo version that’s on Anthology? It’s nice and simple. Same with While My Guitar Gently Weeps.. I do love this too though

  • groverg:

absolutely. but i dont think its something you should have to think about…you should just automatically know. i never believed in any of that stuff until i met my recent boyfriend of 3 years. the moment i met him i knew i was going to spend the rest of my life with him…and i never thought that was actually possible…i thought it was just something people made up;)

its sounds like a friendly way of saying no. dont feel bad about it, at least she didnt reject u or hurt ur feelings, especially in front of everybody that knows u. if u still want to be friends with her, just talk to her like u have been doin before u ask her that question & act like that never happened. u dont never know man, down the road, she might start to have feelings for u.
i hope this helps & good luck

  • meano brodrian:

Seriously? It took you that long to figure out that he was a scammer? His behavior was questionable from the beginning. Sane people don't tell someone they just met and haven't even met in person that they want to marry them. Why on earth would you send him money? I don't mean to sound rude but come on now! Chalk it up to experience and be more cautious next time. People like that can only scam you if you allow them to.
