OK, I’ll keep this simple. A little question and answer exercise.
What or who was Christianity based upon?
Answer – Jesus Christ (Christ – hence Christianity)
When was the book of Exodus written?
Answer – before Christ (you know the BC AD thing?)
What has the book of Exodus got to do with the practice of Christianity?
Answer – nothing. It is not Christian teaching. It is pre – Christian teaching (along with the whole eye for eye stuff too).
What did Jesus do with the old teaching?
Answer – he overturned them. e.g. he over said not to give an eye for eye but to turn the other cheek.
So maybe the Old Testament said this but Christ certainly said nothing of the sort. In fact, Jesus lived in the Middle East – do you honestly even believe he was white?
